Investing in both a portable gaming handheld and a separate high-end desktop can drain any tech budget fast. External GPU solutions have promised a hybrid alternative for years, but proprietary connectors and underpowered enclosures often held them back. The GTBOX G-Dock tackles those compromises head-on, delivering a powerful all-in-one eGPU docking solution that can transform an ultraportable device like the ROG Ally X or a mini PC into a desktop-class gaming powerhouse.
What makes this dock a game-changer for value-conscious power users is its raw capability and open connectivity. Packing an internal 800W power supply, it delivers up to 600W of clean power directly to the GPU, making it capable of running power-hungry graphics cards up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090. Crucially, it supports both standard USB4/Thunderbolt 4 and high-bandwidth OCuLink connections, letting you bypass traditional Thunderbolt performance bottlenecks when using compatible hardware, all while pumping out 100W Power Delivery to charge your handheld simultaneously.
- Massive 800W power supply: Safely feeds high-wattage desktop GPUs pulling up to 600W, future-proofing your setup for current and next-gen flagship graphics cards.
- Dual connectivity options: Features high-speed OCuLink for maximum PCIe throughput alongside USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 for plug-and-play versatility across handhelds, mini PCs, and laptops.
- Integrated 100W charging: Supplies full-speed Power Delivery over a single USB-C cable to keep your handheld fully charged during demanding 4K gaming sessions.
- True hybrid flexibility: Eliminates the expense of building a dedicated second PC by letting your daily handheld drive your home desktop battle station.
Bottom line: If you already own an ROG Ally X, Legion Go, or capable mini PC and want true 4K desktop performance without purchasing an entire second system, the GTBOX G-Dock is one of the most capable, future-proof eGPU docks you can buy.
